There’s more to life than the grind. 10 years in Sydney, decent jobs, busy lives, paying the bills, and then one day it just clicked. We were spending our lives working for a weekend. Sod that.

Tim had been down a YouTube vanlife rabbit hole for months. We loved camping, we loved the road, and we loved the idea of just taking off. So we stopped overthinking it, sold up, quit our jobs and went for it. No regrets.

We bought a brand new Winnebago Bondi 2S on a LWB Sprinter chassis, kitted it out for living, and on July 4th 2018 we pointed it north out of Sydney with nowhere we had to be. 9 months. 30,000km. Anticlockwise around Australia.

Every town we hit, we’d find the best local pub, try the regional beer, eat whatever the locals were eating, and chat to whoever was up for it. Tim being from Norn Iron, the beer research was thorough. Very thorough.

Kakadu swimming holes. Kimberley sunrises. Fresh prawns on the WA coast. Markets, campfires, dusty outback tracks and cold ones at the end of the day. That’s the trip. That’s the life.
